How did you get started?
I began to take rap seriously in 2012; my senior year high school, after my classmates and friends constantly asked me freestyle and rap throughout the school day, especially at lunch. By the time 2013 came, I took my first steps into the music industry by releasing my first EP/Mixtape titled “Natural Reflexes” on “Hot New Hip Hop”. It had 10 songs and an outro. HNHH removed the tape after a year so I recently made the decision to re-released it onto reeflexthemaster.bandcamp.com.
Current projects i have coming in the 2016 year is my Mixtape of conscious Rap titled “Principle & Glory”. The mixtape is composed for conscious audiences as it’s literacy/lyrics has principles of a conscious lifestyle, whether of the being black and proud, or an educated/conscious woman, and even a person who values love and monogamy.
What do you bring to the Industry?
Currently I am impacting Philadelphia’s Music industry by bringing conscious concepts in Rap to the forefront among the artist in my generation.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In the next five years, I see myself as a thriving independent artist, if not signed to Roc Nation. Also, I see myself giving people in communities, similar to the one I grew up in, opportunity in the entertainment industry through my own entrepreneurial ventures and resources gained from my music career.
